Solicitation

Solicitation Policy

At DISA, we want everyone to have a work environment where they can focus, stay productive, and enjoy their day without unnecessary interruptions. While we encourage everyone to be involved in community activities and causes outside of work, we also want to keep work time free from distractions that aren’t related to our business.

What This Means for You

  • No Solicitation During Work Time
Work time should be dedicated to serving our clients and supporting each other. “Work time” includes all periods when you’re on the clock, but doesn’t include lunch breaks, personal breaks, or time before or after your shift.

  • Company Resources
To keep communication streamlined, company tools like email, Teams, and voicemail should be used for work purposes only. Using them to send out personal solicitations or distribute unrelated materials isn’t allowed.

  • Visitors & Outside Solicitation
Our workplace is designed to keep you safe and focused. Visitors should not ask employees for donations, signatures, or participation in activities while on DISA property. If this happens, managers may ask them to leave.

  • Printed Materials & Bulletin Boards
Non-work-related flyers, pamphlets, or materials shouldn’t be distributed in work areas or posted on bulletin boards. Those spaces are reserved for official company updates and information.

Why This Matters

This policy isn’t about restricting your personal interests — it’s about respecting everyone’s time and ensuring we have a workplace that’s calm, safe, and distraction-free.

If you’re ever unsure about what’s okay to share or where, just check with your supervisor or HR Business Partner.
